Edman Method (Protein Sequencer)

The Edman method is an excellent and widely adopted method for determining the amino acid sequence in proteins and peptides. The method identifies amino acid residues one by one from the N-terminal side.
Since the automated Edman method was developed by Edman and Begg, microanalysis and acceleration have been required, and analyses in the order of pmol have been performed using a sequencer(PPSQ).
