Heterogeneous catalysts are used in heterogeneous systems such as solid/gas or solid/liquid phase. Solid catalysts are contributed to fields such as automobile exhaust gas purification and petrochemical industries. In addition, in the field of organic synthetic chemistry, heterogeneous catalysts show their performance and potential on commercial production for complex structures such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides and functional materials including liquid crystal materials. Various immobilization catalysts have been developed since solid-liquid separation after reaction is easy.
