A quinoline derivative and atypcal anti-psychotic agent, Aripiprazole has partial agonist activity at dopamine and serotonin 5HT1A receptors. Not available for sale in Brazil, HongKong, Mexico and Netherland. It has been known to act as an antagonist of dopamine D2 receptor when dopamine is insufficient. It also acts as partial agonist of serotonin 5-HT1A receptor and antagonist of serotonin 5-HT2A receptor.
